Urinary Incontinence
There are 2 Types of Incontinence...
1. Stress Urinary Incontinence
2. Urge Urinary Incontinence
You can also have both, referred to as Mixed Urinary Incontinence. No amount of urine leakage is normal!
Stress Urinary Incontinence
is when you leak urine with a cough, sneeze, movement or exercise.
It can be caused by having a weak pelvic floor, a tight pelvic floor, an uncoordinated core, an inactive reflex and/or slow fast twitch muscle fibres.
Urge Urinary Incontinence
is when you get a strong urge to urinate and may leak on the way to the bathroom.
It can be caused by having a weak pelvic floor, a tight pelvic floor, and/or an overactive detrusor muscle.
Is it treatable?
Yes, both types are treatable! Exercises are over 80% effective at improving or resolving incontinence. And Kegels alone are rarely enough. Treatments may differ slightly depending on which type you have. Let's get started together today! Call 705-410-5672 or
